We went camping at S. Carlsbad beach the weekend before Thanksgiving. Contrary to everyone's fears it was super warm in the day. I even borrowed a wetsuit and went frolicking in the water. It was, however, freezing at night, but luckily our friend Kate brought an endless supply of wood for a very nice smokey fire. (No it's not the fire, my hair is actually red). The food was more amazing than the food we eat at home. We had rosemary foil dinners, apple smoked sausages, and delicious peach/blueberry cobbler, roasted bananas stuffed with marshmellow and choc/peanutbutter cups, and of course s'mores. And for anyone interested, the iphone has some amazing apps for spooooky ghost stories.
